The signs of Autumn have been around for a while – conkers growing, blackberries and shorter evenings. I love Autumn so I’m pretty happy to embrace it all. I noticed lots of sycamore seeds around the park so picked some up incase we could craft with them. We actually came up with something very simple – sycamore seed faces! We used sycamore seeds and card face blanks from Baker Ross (although you could easily draw your own faces). We also used a glue stick, some coloured card and wool. First my daughter glued the sycamore seed on where she thought it…

Photo by Josh Applegate on Unsplash I love the school holidays. One of the biggest problems with school is how quickly my children pick up any bug which is going around. School attendance is marked on their end of term reports and I wasn’t really surprised to see how many days they had both off – never at the same time of course! They both caught chicken pox this year. I actually thought they had both had it a few years ago so when I heard that chicken pox was going round I wasn’t too worried. Unfortunately over Christmas I noticed my daughter…

Hi everyone! As you know, every week we join up with some other bloggers to share crafts and activities by a different letter of the alphabet. Todays letter is the letter O and this was an easy one for us! Like most children, my kids love watching slime videos on YouTube and we finally got round to making some of our own. You may be wondering where the letter O comes in. Well we used Optical Lens Solution! Just in case the internet needs another slime recipe, here is ours. Recipe for homemade slime PVA Glue Optical Lens Solution 1…

I can’t imagine a time when my daughter doesn’t love Peppa Pig. It’s one of her favourite characters and she loves watching the cartoon and playing with her Peppa toys. Although as a parent it feels like I’ve watched *all* the episodes, there were actually new episodes last month! Did you watch them? New episodes of Peppa Pig on Milkshake Yep, last month (finally) new episodes of Peppa Pig were shown on Milkshake (Channel 5 for the non-parents out there). It was quite a relief to watch them and meet the new character, Molly Mole and her family. Peppa’s Family…

Last week we were invited to Legoland Windsor which was amazing as the children have been asking to go for ages. My husband took the day off work and off we went. Luckily we only live about half an hour away so we got there just as the park opened. Lego Scooby Doo Blowout Beach Bash Movie Our first stop was the 4D cinema to watch the Lego Scooby Doo Blowout Beach Bash Movie. I didn’t even know you could watch films at Legoland but you can. The cinema was by the Imagination Centre, and was huge but there were…

Every month I challenge myself to make the Mollie Makes magazine cover gift. I’ve subscribed since it first came out and have had a drawer full of unopened kits – but no more! I’ve been making more time for grown up crafting and I love to make the kits and hopefully try something new. Mollie Makes Custard Cream Keyring Kit Issue 82 contained the Mollie Makes Custard Cream Keyring Kit designed by Nikki McWilliams. The little kit contained 15cm square if printed cotton fabric, soft toy stuffing, a needle, thread and keyring. I love Nikki McWilliams and even went on one of her…

Earlier in the Summer holidays I enjoyed a day out with my 5 year old, watching The Emoji Movie. Today I got to spend the day with my 7 year old as we were invited to see the new production of Horrible Histories – More Best of Barmy Britain! at the Garrick Theatre in London. We all want to meet people from history. The trouble is everyone is dead! So it’s time to prepare yourselves for a special production of Horrible Histories featuring MORE of your favourite characters from our barmy past – and a brand new scene with wordy Will!…

Is it possible to pack too much into a week? I think so as our feet barely touched the ground last week. Thankfully we had a quiet weekend at home to recover. It’s time for my weekly post, all about the five things which made me happy. We started the week with a lovely day at home making some unboxing videos. We received some fab toys to review recently and the children have had so much fun. Check out our YouTube channel for our latest reviews including the Nerf Modulus Regulator and the new Peppa’s Family Home Playset. We had…
