The other week I was asked if the toddler liked Thomas. Only the biggest Thomas fan in Paisley Road, I answered. A couple of days later this turned up.
Fisher Price very kindly sent him the new R/C Thomas Steam ‘n Speed with real working steam! It wasn’t too difficult to get out of the packaging, just a couple of fancy plastic ties, which was good as the toddler was sooo excited when he saw it. He won’t say Thomas but “TT” so there was lots of shouting and I had no option but to get it out of the box. Fortunately daddy was around to put some batteries in the controller and Thomas.
It works really well on our wooden floors and the toddler has been having a lot of fun. He’s used to R/C cars so this must have helped him with this toy. There are 3 buttons on the controller which control Thomas – special, forward and reverse. Thomas has the ability to produce steam which takes some getting used to as none of his other engines can do this.
Thomas Steam ‘n Speed is a really simple toy but the perfect first R/C toy and great for little fingers, it also plays a selection of sounds which aren’t too annoying. A lovely addition to our Thomas collection!
That looks the exact same design as the £29 (or £19 can’t remember) Thomas that I bought Aaron from Argos. Looks identical only that our remote control is totally different. It makes lovely steam noises and a sing song tune.
We both love it.
Only trouble is, ours wasn’t free – we never get sent anything 🙁
