Driving experiences for teens at Mercedes-Benz World

Driving experiences for teens at Mercedes-Benz World

Posted on March 27, 2025March 29, 2025 by jenny

Our teen celebrated his 15th birthday recently. He loves racing cars and Formula 1 so we thought he would enjoy one of the driving experiences for teens at Mercedes-Benz World. A few friends have mentioned Mercedes-Benz World and we weren’t sure if it was worth visiting Mercedes-Benz World, but we gave it a try!

The most important thing it that it’s free to get into Mercedes-Benz World! It’s very close to Brooklands Museum, an aviation and motoring museum we have visited before. It looks a little like an expensive car showroom when you arrive but the staff are friendly and tell you what there is to do and where to go.

If you’re wondering what can you do at Mercedes-Benz World then you may be amazed to discover there is plenty! As well as a range of driving experiences, there are activities for all ages, from FastTrax & Little Learners, the Simulator Zone and The Grid, as well as special weekend displays. There is a cafe at Mercedes-Benz World, as well as a shop selling all the latest merchandise.

We had pre-booked our driving experience but arrived with enough time to look round Mercedes-Benz World. We were able to see the ‘Journey Through History’ exhibition, with cars from their Classic Centre in Germany. These cars are on display throughout the building and include the SLR Stirling Moss, F1 cars and Concept cars.

Then it was time for our driving experience. Our teen had two driving experiences the Mercedes-Benz Young Driver + 4×4 1 hour experience in a dual-controlled Mercedes-Benz A class developing basic driving skills on the dedicated driving facility.

This was followed by 30 minutes driving a Mercedes-Benz G-class on the off road course which featured steep inclines, water crossings and axle twisting obstacles.

He had so much fun with both experiences, they were both different and his instructor was great at encouraging him. With the young driver experience you could have a passenger sit in for free. Unfortunately my husband had booked a driving experience for himself so no-one was able to sit with him, Little Sis wished she had gone when she saw how much fun Big Brother was having.

We had a lot of fun at Mercedes-Benz World. There was plenty to do to keep all ages busy, and we finished our day by playing on the FastTrax with the slot cars!

Mercedes-Benz World is open from 10-6, 7 days a week.
