Dr Seuss Thing 1 and Thing 2 paper craft

Dr Seuss Thing 1 and Thing 2 paper craft

Thing One and Thing Two, also known as Bim and Ben, are the first two of the Number Things from One and Up from The Cat in the Hat book. Today we are adding our Thing 1 and Thing 2 paper craft to our other crafts which are perfect for celebrating Dr Seuss Day.

List of supplies:
Coloured papers
Coloured card
Yarn
Craft glue
Pencil
Sharpies
A pair of scissors
Thing 1 and Thing 2 template

Dr Seuss Thing 1 and Thing 2 paper craft

Select red card for the body base, white card for the head and number label and blue craft paper for the hair patterns. Trace the template patterns on the coloured craft papers and cut them out neatly.

Glue the number label in the middle of the body base cutout. Use a marker to write “Thing 1” or “Thing 2” on the label.

Use a black marker or sharpie to draw the face of the Thing 1 or Thing 2 figure.

Prepare some strands from the blue coloured yarn bundle. Cut them into small strands to cover the blue hair cutout.

Apply glue on the hair cutout and place the yarn strands on the glued part one by one.

Start gluing the yarns on the hair cutout from one side and continue to glue the strands towards the other side of the hair.

Cover the whole paper hair cutout with the blue yarn strands.

Glue the head cutout on the bottom side of the hair pattern, on the yarns.

Glue the head pattern on the top side of the body base pattern.

Thing 1 and Thing 2 craft

Repeat these steps to craft the other pair and complete the Dr Seuss Thing 1 and Thing 2 craft.
