Five Happy Things {Week 519}

Posted on September 29, 2024September 29, 2024 by jenny

Starting the week by writing the Happy List is something I’ve been doing for the last few years. It’s my chance to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of the adventures we have as a family.

Five Happy Things {Week 519}

I am hosting a fun competition where you can win tickets to the Creative Craft Shows in Birmingham. Pop on over to this post to find more as it closes on Thursday. I love visiting craft shows and this one ticket gives access to five amazing shows: The Creative Craft Show, Sewing for Pleasure, Simply Christmas, Cake International, and Bake International.

Yesterday we finally got round to watching a film at the Pinewood Cinema at Pinewood Studio. This is a place we’ve wanted to visit for a while and we really enjoyed the experience. The cinema was small but the seats were comfy, perfect for watching Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

Last week my Pretty Fabrics and Trims Advent Box arrived and I admit I had a sneak peek. It’s packed full of fabric projects to get my through Advent and I can’t wait to have something to pick up in the evenings after a busy day in the office.

This morning we watched a preview of Transformers One at Cineworld Leicester Square. It’s been a while since we went to a special screening but I took Little Sis who was happy to ice a Transformer biscuit, get a glitter tattoo and much popcorn. The film is out on the 11th October and I think everyone will enjoy it.

When I saw that Emma Bridgwater had brought a gingerbread house range out I knew I had to buy myself a mug. I don’t need any more mugs but I just couldn’t resist adding one more to my collection.

What’s made you happy this week?

    We watched Beetlejuice Beetlejuice last weekend, too. It’s one of those rare sequels that’s just as entertaining and well done as the first one.

    I really want to see the new Beetlejuice movie, I must do that soon. It must have been nice to go to the Transformers movie too, I haven’t been to a screening in a very long time!

    I love how you take time to reflect on the little joys in life; it’s such a great practice. The craft show sounds like a blast!

    I haven’t seen Beetlejuice yet, how was it? Will have to make sure we take a trip to the cinema soon.

    It’s such a great reminder to appreciate the little things in life. Your post made me think about my own ‘happy things’ this week.
