Monday Happy List

Sunday Happy Things {Week 437}

celebrating Pancake Day

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while although now I’m moved it to Sunday. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to sit down and write.

Sunday Happy Things {Week 437}

I watched a lot of films last week, a complete mixture as I had a few days off due to catching Covid again. There are lots of films I want to watch and I chose Fire of Love on Disney+, about two French volcanologists. I also watched The Eyes of Tammy Faye and The Lost King – all completely different but really good.

I’ve been reading too. I have a couple of books on the go including The Dress Diary of Mrs Ann Sykes: Secrets from a Victorian Woman’s Wardrobe, as well as a fun fiction book, The Housekeepers.

My sewing projects have also been in the multiples (I think that’s what being ill does to me!). I’ve been busy making EPP diamonds for my Liberty tumbler quilt top, as well as a few embroidery hoops. Having a few projects on the go means I’m never bored.

We enjoyed making pancakes to celebrate Pancake Day. I always have lemon and sugar on mine but the kids came up with all sorts of concoctions for their pancakes. They were fun to make and I’m happy to say that none got stuck on the ceiling.

At the weekend we tried our local Wendy’s which has just opened. They are known for their square burgers served in round buns, and the Frosty. We really enjoyed our meal and are looking forward to going again soon.

    Sorry to hear you had covid, hope you’re doing okay. Films, books and crafting seems to be a good way to distract from being ill x
