A few weeks ago I featured the Marvellous Gingerbread Stars Biscuit Kit from Asda in my gingerbread gift guide. I’ve been so busy lately but this week I finally found time to make the biscuits.
Marvellous Gingerbread Stars {biscuit kit}
I love a packet mix because they are such a time saver. I just needed to add butter, Golden Syrup and water to make the gingerbread dough. I rolled it out and used the star-shaped cookie cutter included in the packet to cut out the stars.
The kit made 15 stars but I used a smaller cutter to make a few extra biscuits.
I baked them in the oven until they were a gorgeous golden colour and placed them on a wire rack to cool.
Then it was time to ice them. I used a spare piping bag and the picture on the box as a guide. I added edible glitter and finished just in time for the kids to come home from school.
The Marvellous Gingerbread Stars from Asda were a big hit and didn’t last long. Gingerbread is perfect for a festive treat. Let me know if you try this kit!
