Both my children have read this book. Maths is not their favourite subject although they are both good at it so far! This is a fun book for those who love maths or are interested in what maths is and where it came from. My daughter loved the puzzles, especially solving the puzzle using the Caesar Cypher.
Anna Weltman is an author and math teacher, with a passion for showing kids how math is present to the world around us. She is co-founder of Math Munch, an online resource that provides a digest of mathematics for children and parents. Her award-winning This is Not a Maths Book was published by Ivy Kids in 2015.
Paul Boston studied illustration and design at Brighton University, and is inspired by 1950s children’s books, antique maps and diagrams, 17th Century engravings, Gothic art and Japanese prints. Paul’s charming depictions of people and places have been commissioned for global advertising campaigns, publishing projects and editorial commissions.
