Every year I love to try gingerbread products. There are loads of gingerbread house kits, gingerbread dough, gingerbread biscuit mix, and last year I even found some Gingerbread Mulled Wine! For the last few years I’ve put all my finds into a handy Gingerbread Gift Guide as it seems as though my readers are interested in the best gingerbread kits too!
Tesco Decorate Your Own Gingerbread Wreath Kit
A few weeks ago I popped into Tesco and found their Decorate Your Own Gingerbread Wreath Kit. I thought this was a complete baking kit but it actually contained ready made gingerbread biscuits, icing and decorations to create a wreath.
I couldn’t wait to try the kit with my children and it made a fun weekend activity. Inside the box were 20 delicious gingerbread stars, a tube of white icing with 3 nozzles and a selection of sprinkles.
The instructions were easy to follow. My daughter laid out a circle of biscuits then used the icing as a glue to add another layer of gingerbread stars on top.
Then she was able to decorate the wreath with the remaining icing and sprinkles.
She loved having free rein with the tube of icing and tried out all the different nozzles to see which worked best. I’m pretty sure she ate as much icing as she put on the gingerbread wreath!
The Tesco Decorate Your Own Gingerbread Wreath Kit cost £4.50 from Tesco. The kit contained everything needed to make an edible wreath which we enjoyed eating!
