Monday Happy List {Week 320}

Posted on November 30, 2020December 11, 2020 by jenny

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List  is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.

Monday Happy List {Week 320}

My little jokers were kindly gifted a selection of Tom & Jerry inspired pranks from Warner Bros. to celebrate the new Tom And Jerry Movie which is coming to cinemas in March 2021. I don’t know about you but we’re really missing trips to the cinema. The trailer looks awesome and we’re excited to watch the film. I loved Tom and Jerry when I was a kid and can’t wait to share their new adventures with my two.

The Tom & Jerry Movie

We were also gifted a preview to watch A Christmas Carol which follows a Victorian family as they prepare a toy-theatre for their annual performance of A Christmas Carol. The audience enters the imagination of one of the children and quickly the cardboard stage transforms to reveal a magical world containing real dancers and stylised sets. The tale unfolds on screen in a rich tapestry of theatrical drama with characters portrayed by dancers and voiced by an eclectic cast of incredible actors. The mix of danced action and spoken narration brings a completely new and exciting dimension to Dickens’ characters whilst remaining true to the beauty of his original narrative. Starring the voices of Carey Mulligan, Simon Russell Beale, Daniel Kaluuya, Martin Freeman and Andy Serkis, and coming to cinemas and theatres UK wide on 4th December.

My children are really enjoying playing the Among Us game so we had fun making painted Among Us rocks and Among Us gingerbread biscuits. We made a couple of Among Us cookie cutters on our 3D printer then I used some ready made gingerbread dough from Ikea to make them. We iced them too and the kids loved their Crewmate and Impostor biscuits.

My daughter celebrated her birthday over the weekend. I can’t believe we’ve had another Lockdown birthday but we made it as special as we could with lots of video calls and doorstep visits from friends. She wanted loads of craft kits and spent the weekend making slime and bath bombs and reading her new books. She’s just discovered The Treehouse book series and is working her way through them.

This year I produced 4 Gift Guides and my favourite one was the Gift Guide for Crafters. I find crafting and making so relaxing and I love to gift the gift of a craft kit at Christmas. It features some really fun kits from macrame to fused glass. There are products for kids too such as the amazing Dr Zigs bubble kit. We tried it over the weekend and it really did make the biggest bubbles we’ve ever seen.

Have a great week everyone!

    It is wonderful that you daughter still had a wonderful birthday despite it being lockdown. I am sure she can’t wait to have a proper party once all this is over. Also love Tom & Jerry, can’t wait to watch the movie

    I think it’s so inspiring to see so many people making the best out of a difficult situation. The cookies look great and it’s so nice that your daughter had a nice birthday too.
