It’s hard to believe that our little Bichon Frise puppy is now 10 months old. It feels like we’ve always had him and also that we still have a lot to learn! He has a great personality and everyone loves having him around. The kids love to dress him up and he has quite a few accessories already. He recently went to the groomers, he needs a trim every 6 weeks! This is the before photo!
He came back looking like a different puppy, clean and white, which gave us a fun idea for an easy DIY puppy costume for him. When we knew we were getting a Bichon puppy my daughter bought a beanie baby puppy. She decided Chewie looked just as fluffy as her toy and wanted to turn him into a real Beanie Baby with his own label.

How to make an easy Halloween costume for dogs
Each Beanie Baby comes with its own TY label with details about the animal. So we made our own label. We cut one red and one gold heart from the card, making sure the red heart was slightly smaller.
We cut the letter T and Y from white card using the original letters as a guide and glued these on to the red heart.
Then glued the red heart on the gold one.
We cut another heart from the white card and my daughter wrote her favourite things about Chewie including his birthday, his likes and dislikes.
Then we punched a hole through the hearts and tied it with string. We hung the heart around Chewie as soon as he got back from the groomers and I think you’ll agree that he looks just as good as the real thing!
I’m not sure what kind of Halloween we will be celebrating this year but at least we have our own easy Halloween costume for dogs.

This is litrally the most adorable halloween dog costume ever. I remember having loads of beanie babies when I was younger, brings back fond memories x
Awww such cute dog and lovely tag too! What a great idea, love it!
Ah they’re very cute. I had my Spinone, Dillon, in a Halloween hat yesterday. He was not impressed.
