I love to start the week by writing the Monday Happy List. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I love to write. Last week was the last few days of our Summer holidays and our return to school. Let’s just say it was emotional.
Monday Happy List {Week 308}
With both children finally returning to school I decided to take down all our rainbow pictures. We coloured all the pictures weeks ago and it seemed like the perfect time to take them all down. I also put all our home learning and the Corona Virus Scrapbooks together in one place. I’m really hoping that the children will stay at school now they’ve gone back, and home learning would have a lot more input from school if it happened again.
Did you see that the new Lego Harry Potter minifigs Series 2 are out? I’ve been waiting for these to come out for months! We have a fantastic local toy shop and have been anxiously popping in looking for them over the last few days and they’ve finally arrived. This is such a fun series to collect although we already have a few duplicates to swap.
My children have loved Rob Biddulph’s Draw with Rob videos on YouTube and have filled all their art books with his characters. We were pretty sad when he announced he was going to end his bi-weekly videos but thankfully he has changed it to Saturdays (from 12th September) so we can still take part!
We love our crafty makes and my children have been asking for a 3D printer for a while. They both contributed towards it and have been teaching themselves how to use the software to design projects. The poor machine hasn’t stopped since it arrived and we have a house full of 3D printed dogs, dice, vases and more.
Our street has really come together over the last few months. One of our neighbours has been organising street quizzes and I’m pleased to say that we finally won the Street Quiz and took home the trophy (a real plastic gold one). I knew my knowledge of kids tv would come in handy one day.
Have a great week everyone.

What a nice way to bring the neighbors together, I would have loved a similar thing on my street, especially that I just moved in and I don’t know anyone yet. 🙂 The 3D printer looks amazing, it will provide so many hours of good fun and imagination come to life.

September 10, 2020 at 4:45 pmI love these “happy lists”, they just show how important it is to focus on the positive. It would really do us all good to be a little more mindful. As they saying goes, it’s the small things that matter most.
