On the 19 September 2010 I started a Day Zero list: a place to record your goals, discover new challenges, and gain motivation to achieve them. I have a list of 100 things I want to do over 1001 days. The list is due to be competed by 16 June 2013. This month has been quite busy so although I feel like I have achieved lots of things, none of them were on my list!
8. Attend an auction
I’ve looked and can’t find any auctions near us. Instead we went to the Antiques Fair at Alexandra Palace. I don’t think I have the nerves to bid on items anyway so this was the next best thing!
41. Find a suitable nursery for Edward – one day a week
We’ve been thinking about putting Edward into nursery for a while, to help socialise him, experience new activities and hopefully allow me a couple of hours to myself before the arrival of Second Baby. A couple of weeks ago we visited our local Montessori Nursery and we have applied there for two sessions a week. Nursery is a complete luxury and we are really lucky we can afford it but the atmosphere was lovely and I’ve always been a fan of the Montessori ideas on education. Fingers crossed they will accept our application!

September 28, 2011 at 7:13 pmWow, you’re so far into your Day Zero journey. I’m in month 1! I also have the auction one – ideally I want to go to a livestock auction as my OH’s a farmer, but I think a normal one is more realistic. Know what you mean about bidding (mistakenly!).
Good luck with the nursery application.
