It’s no secret that I’m a bit of a cake fan. I love baking and there’s always something in the cake tin, whether that’s homemade or shop-bought. Have you seen the new limited edition Mr Kipling Love Season range featuring seven different cake varieties? Not only has the packaging had a seasonal makeover and now features pretty pink flowers, but you can now purchase Mr Kipling Flower Whirls which are a cute twist on their classic Viennese Whirls.

We don’t tend to go overboard on Valentine’s Day. A homemade card makes me happiest but I couldn’t resist stocking up on some of our tea-time favourites. This season you can find the perfect sweet gift for someone special. Mr Kipling has got it covered with their new limited edition range, so why not tell someone special they’re ‘the apple of your pie‘ or that they mean the ‘whirl‘ to you, with their favourite cake?

My children were pleased to see their favourites when they got home from school. Little Sis can’t resist the ‘Love at First Slice‘ Chocolate Slice whilst her older brother loves the ‘There’s no one Batter Than You‘ mini battenbergs. I’ve always loved the ‘I Fancy You‘ French Fancies and will be leaving them out for my other half later this week (if they survive that long!).

I love that these can be given by anyone to anyone. Hopeless office crush? Leave a box in the kitchen and hope they pick up the subtle message on the packaging. Or just buy a box to share with your mum friends or co-workers.

The limited edition range will be available in major supermarkets until Valentine’s Day, with Mini Battenbergs and Flower Whirls carrying on until Mother’s Day.
