If you’re in the UK then you’ve probably been experiencing some crazy hot weather this week. The bad news is it’s not going to last, but it’s given us a taste of what’s to come. The whole family has enjoyed spending time outside. The garden is looking great and we’ve eaten outdoors a lot. I love that the children have come home from school and gone straight outside to play.
The perfect outdoor activity for kids – playing with bubbles
They love to play with bubbles and always have. Blowing and playing with bubbles is a great, low cost activity, and perfect for encouraging kids to spend time outside. This week they’ve been enjoying Gazillion Crazy Wands which feature 6 crazy styles – Bunny Teeth & Tongue, Crazy Wands Moustache & Lips and Crazy Wands Vampire & Monster.
When we visited KidZania we learned all about the science of bubbles at the Wonderlab Roadshow pop up run by the Science Museum. It was a great way to learn about how bubbles are formed and that it doesn’t matter what shape you use – bubbles are lazy and will always form the easiest shape.
Bubbles are so much fun in the garden but there are lots of other things you can do with bubbles. You can:
make your own bubble wands
try making human bubbles with the tuff spot and a hula hoop ring
try process art and paint with bubbles
make bubble snakes using a plastic bottle and a sock
blow bubbles in the bath in winter
blow bubbles out of a slow moving car
Gazillion Crazy Wands are sold in packs of two (RRP £3.99). There are 6 crazy styles – Crazy Wands Bunny Teeth & Tongue, Crazy Wands Moustache & Lips and Crazy Wands Vampire & Monster. Each pack includes two wands, a dipping tray and an 8oz bottle of Gazillion premium solution. My children thought they were so much fun to play with and couldn’t stop laughing at how silly each other looked. They reminded me a little of photo booth props are perfect for some Summer fun in the garden.

April 24, 2018 at 12:34 pmWe love playing with bubbles. I picked up a kit with some rope wands to try and make giant bubbles and a little bubble machine last year so will get them out for us to play with shortly (When the weather stays nice a little longer!). My kids would love the crazy wands though too. They are really cool!
