I’m just a little bit glad that last week is over. It started snowing on Monday, through Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday, then it stopped. Of course school was closed on Friday which made no sense to me as the snow had stopped and we could get to school really easily. We used the unexpected day off to go looking for painted rocks and hiding some of the ones we’ve decorated recently, and had fun playing in the snow.
Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things
Monday started off well with a visit to my daughter’s school from Tom Fletcher. He’s lives near us and my daughter loves his books. She was so excited to meet him and hear him read from her favourite books as she just loves The Dinosaur That Popped series! She’s a little bookworm but I love World Book Day, it’s a great motivator for kids.
I spent a lot of time indoors last week so put some more items in my little Etsy Shop. I sell vintage toys and games and now you will find vintage Scrabble and letter tiles which are perfect for crafting with. I still have more things to list but it felt good to make a start.
My daughter was able to celebrate World Book Day again on Thursday. She decided to dress up as Where’s Wally? and she had a really fun day at school. They went down to Nursery to read books to the younger children which I thought was a lovely idea. Unfortunately my son’s school was celebrating it on Friday and school was cancelled due to the weather. Hopefully they will do something this week instead.
On Friday we popped into our local toy shop to see the new Sylvanian Families Town range. My daughter has already bought something with her pocket money and we also received the Delicious Restaurant to review. Check out our unboxing videos and look out for our review coming later today.
I’ve been laid up in bed all weekend with a tummy bug so I’m looking forward to feeling better soon. I really want to get started on the Spring Bunny Plushie kit which came with my Mollie Makes magazine.
Have a great week everyone!
