Magic Tracks red car

Magic Tracks Starter Set {Glow in the Dark track and toy car review}

Posted on April 16, 2017October 31, 2019 by jenny

With our Easter holidays drawing to a close I must share one of the toys which have kept the children busy – Magic Tracks! Magic Tracks is a new track set system that is just hitting UK. Suitable for children from age 3, the set launched in the US last year and ended the year as one of the top ten toys in the country. We were super excited to try the Magic Tracks Starter Set out!

Magic Tracks – what’s in the box?

The Magic Tracks Starter Set included a cute little red car, sheet of stickers and 220 pieces of colourful glow track. This is the basic set and you can get lots of add-ons too. The first thing my son did was to decorate the car with some of the stickers, then my husband put the batteries in. My son built the track which snapped together really easily and set the car on the track.

How does it work?

Magic Tracks features serpentine technology to create a track that is super flexible, bendable and enables children to get super creative with their track design – even moving it while cars are in action. Even better, the track is glow in the dark and Magic Tracks cars feature LED lights too for the ultimate exciting raceway!

Magic Tracks

It’s a really clever toy and my children have had hours of fun with it. It’s flexible so you can easily build any shape of track. They have always enjoyed playing with toy cars but this is the first track we’ve ever had and they think it’s great. It’s also super easy to pack away after a hard day of play, because of its innovative design, when it’s time to put it away, simply roll up in one piece!

I can easily seeing us buying another car for this track. So far my children have used books and toys to create hills for the track and they haven’t run out of ideas yet!

Magic Tracks are available in the UK from Smyths Toy Stores nationwide and www.smythstoys.com.  All sets are suitable from age 3+. Magic Tracks Starter Set, SRP £19.99, Magic Tracks Accessory Pack, SRP £9.99 and Magic Tracks Additional Cars, SRP £7.99 each.
