Easy Lego Men Soaps {a handmade gift}

A few weeks ago I was trying to gather some ideas for my son’s party bags. I quite enjoy putting them together, I’ve definitely had enough practice over the last few years. The theme was Emoji but I couldn’t resist making some Lego men soaps too. I quite like making my own soap and I thought these Lego men soaps would appeal to the boys.

To make your own Lego Men Soaps you will need:

disposable plastic container or glass jar
soap base and colour
wooden stirrer
Lego Men mould

How to make easy Lego Men Soaps

First melt your soap base by cutting it into small pieces. Place the pieces in a disposable plastic tub or glass jar and melt for 10 seconds at a time in a microwave.

Use a wooden stirrer to ensure everything is mixed and melted. Remember the glass jar will be hot so make sure you have oven gloves or a tea towel to hand.

The soap can start to harden and form a skin so you need to work quickly. If you are going to add any colour do it now as you can’t re-heat the soap when you have added anything to it. Make sure the colour is mixed.

Carefully pour your soap into your moulds. I used a Lego Man ice lolly mould. There was some soap mix left over so I poured it into a Lego brick ice cube mould and anything else I could find.

I left the moulds out overnight to harden. The next day I gently tapped them on the worktop and the finished Lego men soaps and bricks popped out.

I made a few batches of the Lego Men soaps, and just wrapped them in clingfilm with a sticker saying they were soap not sweets!

The soaps were really popular and would make a great handmade gift for a little Lego fan, or perhaps a fun Father’s Day gift too.

  1. They’re so cool! Was it quite cost effective to make them? I’ve always fancied making soap but been put off by the cost incase it goes wrong 🙈

  2. These are so cool. I’ve never made my own soaps but always wanted to, I’ve added this to my list of stuff to try soon! xx
