Happy Monday everyone. The weekend whizzed by for us and we’re all beginning to feel the need for half term to hurry up and arrive. Time for my weekly Monday Happy List.
I got my hair cut! I hate getting my hair cut so this was a big thing for me. As a parent it can be hard to make time for yourself, but with both children now at school there’s no excuse. I even treated myself to lunch out!
With the days colder and so much shorter we seem to be packing in a lot more playing, baking and creating at home. The children are getting on really well at school which I’m always grateful for. Last week he took part in his class assembly which I always enjoying watching. He had a play date too which was fun. He’s never asked anyone to come over and play before so this felt like a big thing.
My son came in to see me one morning last week with 4 notes he had written. He had finished reading a new Star Wars book and really wanted me to get the next one for him! They say: Finished the end/I need book 2!/Favet cariter (favourite character) is RW22/2 come Jedi Academy 2 starts.
At the weekend we were invited to the PlayStation Kids and Parenting Showcase. I’m not really into computer games but my son and husband are so they went along and had such a good time together. They were able to try lots of new games, as well as some we already have at home, and also find out a bit more about parental controls on games, something I’ve actually never thought about before. As soon as they got home they downloaded loads of new demos, like Fifa 17, which they had played. My son had a great time and let’s just say his Christmas wish list is overflowing!
My daughter was invited to a friend’s birthday party yesterday and spent 2 hours running around with her little friend. It seems she already has her first boyfriend as when it was time to go he planted a kiss on her lips. They’re only 4!
