I can’t resist a shiny new roll of Duck Tape. A trip to my local craft store is always dangerous as I can’t help but see if there are any new colours or patterns. On my last visit I picked up a roll of pink Unicorn Dream Duck Tape. I didn’t have a plan for it but my 4 year old loves unicorns so I bought it for a rainy day.

Yesterday was a rainy day! I am on a major decluttering drive at the moment and came across a clear pencil case and large notebook. I knew these would be perfect for giving a new lease of life with the unicorn Duck Tape.
This was a pretty straight forward project. First I covered the clear pencil case in strips of the Unicorn Duck Tape. I slightly overlapped each length of tape, smoothing down any bubbles until I had covered the whole thing.
I did the same with the notebook, transforming the existing cover with the colourful tape.

I cut slightly more tape than I needed and folded the extra inside the cover although you could trim this for a neater look.

I love this for a great way to update existing stationery. The unicorn pattern is sweet with unicorns and rainbows, and my daughter loved it, although my 6 year old pointed out that I had filled the pencil case with *his* pencils!
