Win a copy of Orla Kiely colouring book

As a huge fan of Orla Kiely design and adult colouring books you probably weren’t surprised to hear I couldn’t wait to get my hands on a copy of the Orla Kiely colouring book.

In this, her first colouring book, Orla includes a feature on her much-loved palette, explains how to add texture to the page and create new colours through layering. Pick up some crayons or felt-tips and create your own fabulous patterns and prints. It’s the perfect gift for anyone who loves colouring, fashion, design and illustration.

The book really is a delight and I love looking at all the different designs. There are some old favourites, such as Martian which was my first Orla Kiely purchase – I bought an Oyster card holder in the shop at Tate Modern years ago. I still have it too, I can’t bear to throw any of my vintage Orla items away!

I thought I would show you some of the pages as there is a great variety. You may recognise some of the designs with names such as Houndstooth Heart, Sixties Stem, Spirograph Daisy, Ditsy Bunny and Clover. Some of the pages are just a page of the design with the opposite page one close up so there is plenty to keep the most avid artist busy.

You can even remove the dust jacket to colour in the colouring book which is a nice touch, I haven’t seen that anywhere else.

My lovely sister kindly gifted me my Orla Kiely colouring book as an early birthday present. As it’s my birthday later this month I am sharing the love and have one extra copy to give away. The paperback book costs £10 and is available from good book shops.

  1. Ohhhh I saw you received one a little while back! I have one in my wish list on Amazon so if I don’t win it I will go ahead and buy it! Thank you! One of the patterns is called Spirograph Daisy!

  2. Couldn’t find the question but am guessing from other posts it is “name one of the patterns” so I’m going for Spirograph Daisy. I used to love Spirograph as a kid.
