My children love the warmer months when they can play outside after school. When Autumn comes we often turn to other pursuits to amuse ourselves. I try to give my children a good balance between reading, crafting and the screen time they so desperately crave 🙂
My 5 year really enjoys discovering new games, especially those featuring his favourite Marvel superheroes. Have you ever visited the Marvel Kids UK website? It features plenty of games, videos and activities which are sure to keep your children occupied. My son loves Marvel favourites Spiderman and The Avengers and I must admit to tying out some of the games myself.
These are fun games and a great introduction to playing games online for younger children.
Spider-Man Rescue Mission
Help Spider-Man rescue Jameson by sneaking your way past Mysterio’s traps and race against time to try to beat your high score!
The game features a helpful introduction which goes through which keys you need to use. My 5 year old quickly mastered this and was able to make Spiderman jump and move around the game. The graphics are bright and colourful and he quickly grasped what he needed to do.
I was amazed how quickly he picked it up and he enjoyed the challenge of beating his own best score. There are 3 levels so I’m sure he’ll be progressing through the levels before I know it.
My son loves Spider Man so was happy to stick to his favourite Superhero. I love the Avengers so I’ve been encouraging him to try The Avengers games too. There are 7 Avengers games but we both seemed to like The Avengers vs. Gamma Monsters.
The Avengers vs. Gamma Monsters
Defend S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters from attacking Gamma Monsters!
This game has a longer introduction in comic book style and there are 6 levels to work your way through. We both found this game slightly trickier to play but I think that has just made us more determined to win!
There are 9 different Spiderman games and 7 Avengers games on Marvel Kids UK which are sure to keep your children busy. Let me know if you try them!
