Reasons to be Cheerful 1,2,3

Posted on February 24, 2011November 2, 2025 by jenny

Michelle at Mummy From The Heart hosts a great weekly meme called Reasons to be Cheerful. I’ve seen lots of bloggers join in and thought I would have a go.

1 Edward took his first step today! I really wanted this to happen before he starts nursery as I wanted to see it. Lately he’s been standing unaided for a few seconds and today he took his first step. I went a bit mad and shrieked at my husband who fortunately saw him do it too.

2 I’m off to the Save the Children Blogging conference on Saturday with a friend. I love attending events and having the opportunity to learn new things. The schedule looks great and I’m looking forward to listening to the speakers.

3 I found a new swap to join! Sewing is a major hobby after looking after my little one and blogging. The swap is being hosted by Giraffe in a Scarf and can be anything handmade and must be sent within 6 months. I like the sound of this. I have a lot on my plate with returning to work and Edward starting nursery but I think I will be able to make and send something within the time frame!

First steps are so special and great that they happened while your little man was still home with you.

Have fun at the conference on Saturday, I wish I could go. Think of me cleaning the house! lol

Thanks for joining in with R2BC Mich x

I will be on stand by with my video camera to capture my baby boy’s first steps soon but if experience is anything to go by, he’ll choose the moment when I’m not ready to do it!
