A cosy night in with Debenhams

Posted on March 6, 2014August 30, 2022 by jenny

It’s no secret that I’ve been quite ill recently. I am almost feeling like myself again so I was delighted to be sent a parcel of goodies to help me have a lovely relaxing evening at home.

I’ve been enjoying this fun lime green sketched dog motif cushion by Ben de Lisi for Debenhams. I’ve always wanted a dog but I think the cushion is as close to owning a dog as I’m likely to get. Luckily my cats weren’t phased and it’s a very welcome addition to my spot on the sofa.

I’ve never owned a Yankee candle before, and I never thought they’d be sold in Debenhams, but I received a huge Midsummer’s Night housewarmer candle. It smells gorgeous and I can totally see why they are so popular. It transformed my lounge into a really tranquil space and it looks like it’s going to last for ages. It has a blend of musk, patchouli, sage and mahogany cologne which means my husband couldn’t complain about me lighting it either!

My parcel contained a bottle of red wine which I can’t drink at the moment so I was excited to receive a classic stainless steel teapot and some intriguing tea temples from teapigs. It’s ages since I’ve made a proper pot of tea and I quite enjoyed taking the time to make it properly. In fact I’ve been using it quite a lot lately, I’ve fallen back in love with a good old cup of tea!

The final goodies were a copy of Wolverine which ticked the eye-candy box for my Cosy Night In (*swoon* Hugh Jackman), a box of specially iced Biscuiteers biscuits and even a bottle of nail polish. My lovely night in made me feel so much better and I was more than happy to shut my laptop for an evening and put my feet up.

What’s your must-have for a cosy night in? A glass of wine or a cup of tea? Night in with your partner or gossip with the girls? Let me know!

Disclosure – I was sent a selection of goodies from Debenhams for the pure purpose of having a Cosy Night In 🙂

I’m not sure why but there’s no words coming up in your post at all for me – just photos with gaps between them. The photos look great though and I love the sound of a Midsummers Night candle x x

It’s not very rock’n’roll but I don’t think that you can beat a good cuppa on a cosy night in! Those iced biscuits look totally delicious.
