My children love to help in the kitchen so were very excited by a recent delivery. We were sent everything we needed to create Mini Pita Pizzas with Pick’n’Mix toppings and McCain French Fries.
Yesterday I set to work in the kitchen, making a tasty tomato sauce which was smothered over a couple of grilled pita breads for the simplest mini pita pizzas.
Then the children got to pick their toppings. They were offered a huge range from pineapple to mushrooms, mozzarella and pepperoni. They opted for ham!
They only took about 20 minutes to prepare and were really fun to make. I served the pizzas with McCain French Fries and some salad. The French Fries were cooked in 16 minutes with the mini pita pizzas added for the last 6 minutes. This is a great meal if you need something fast!
I think their meal looked quite professional, even if I do say so myself. The children enjoyed it too so I’m hoping the next time we make it they’ll be a little more adventurous with their choice of toppings! They loved the French Fries, which were crisp and crunchy – the perfect accompaniment.
