Easy Cricut made Easter Egg hunt sign

Easy Cricut made Easter Egg hunt sign

Posted on April 3, 2020March 2, 2025 by jenny

With Easter only a few days away I’ve had to up my crafting game. This is proving quite difficult with having to home educate my children! However, we love celebrating Easter and I want to make a special effort to create something fun this year. We always hold an Easter Egg Hunt and this year I wanted to make new signs to use for an outdoor Easter Egg Hunt (or indoors if the weather is bad).

You all know how much I love my Cricut Maker so looked for free Easter Egg Hunt svg files. I found a really fun Egg Hunt sign on perfectly stylish cuts which was perfect. I already had a large wooden plaque from Hobbycraft to use for my sign. I choseĀ  4 complimentary vinyl sheets.

Cricut Transfer Tape

Easy Cricut made Easter Egg Hunt sign:

I downloaded the free svg file and uploaded it into Cricut Design space. I re-sized it to fit my wooden plaque and cut the four parts from my different coloured vinyl sheets. Then came my favourite part, the weeding.

I weeded the vinyl, placed Transfer Tape over and lined it all up on the wooden plaque.

Then I carefully removed the Transfer Tape and attached the vinyl to the board.

It was a fun project and a great way to use up vinyl scraps. I re-cut the ‘hop along’ so I could also use it on a wooden arrow I wanted to place in the garden for our Easter Egg Hunt.

What do you think of the finished result?

This is utterly wonderful! Perfect for setting up an egg hunt at home and around the garden – plus something that can be brought out year after year
