We’ve decorated a lot of painted rocks over the summer holidays. We’re all addicted to making them and we’ve ended up with such a huge stash that we’ve been hiding them wherever we go! I love learning new techniques so was excited to receive a copy of the Rock Art Handbook: Techniques and Projects for Painting, Coloring, and Transforming Stones by Samantha Sarles.

You only have to look at Facebook to see how popular this is. ‘Love On The Rocks UK ‘has over 80,000 followers. The authors own Facebook page ‘Color Made Happy’ has 155,000 followers.

There are chapters on Finding the Right Rocks and Prepping Rocks, Sealants, Acrylic Paint, Markers and Pens, Drawing Mandalas and Zentangle Designs, Marbling, Rocks and Kids and Possible Uses. It’s a lovely book and I’ve learned so many new tips and tricks. I recently invested in some lovely new pens which have been great for trying out some of the techniques in the book.
