Keeping the family entertained with the NOW TV Smart Stick

Keeping the family entertained with the NOW TV Smart Stick

Posted on August 6, 2018April 3, 2019 by jenny

We’re now at the start of our third week of the school holidays. They are going far too quickly – SLOW DOWN TIME please! I’m really enjoying spending time with my children and we are having lots of good quality time together and making some fun memories.

We can’t be busy all the time though and I made sure to build in some down time to our holidays. I make sure my children read books, play outside and fill in their summer scrapbooks but I know they really love their screen time. They can’t wait to switch off and watch tv, and I can’t blame them as I love to watch tv too.

Keeping the family entertained with the NOW TV Smart Stick

Thankfully they have a variety of programmes at their fingertips with the NOW TV Smart Stick. NOW TV kindly sent us a personalised suitcase and a NOW TV Smart Stick to try out. In case you haven’t heard of it before it’s a small device which you can plug in to a compatible TV and connect to your WiFi. Then you can stream the latest TV shows and biggest blockbusters, plus awesome Kids TV and unmissable Sport, all with the NOW TV Passes.

personalised suitcase

What’s more you can also access your favourite apps like iPlayer, All 4, YouTube and sky news. It’s so easy to use at home that the kids can already choose their favourite programmes. But the best thing is we will be able to take it to Europe with us later this month! I know you don’t go on holiday to watch tv. Hopefully the weather will be kind to us – but it’s always lovely to snuggle up at the end of a busy day and watch a familiar programme. You can also watch programmes on your phone or tablet – perfect if the kids don’t want to watch the same thing.

NOW TV Smart Stick

Along with the NOW TV Smart Stick we were also sent 4 x NOW TV Passes so we could catch up on the latest in Movies, Entertainment, Sports and Kids. My kids just love Lego Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitsu and Deadly 60 so they can watch these, but it’s been a great way to try out shows they wouldn’t normally watch, from channels including Cartoon Network, Boomerang, nickelodeon, Tiny Tots, CBeebies and CBBC.

I can access my favourite shows from Entertainment, such as Riviera and NCIS New Orleans, whilst there are plenty of films to choose from in the Movies section. I was pretty pleased to see some of my 80s favourites like the Breakfast Club, if only the heatwave would stop and my kids went to sleep I might be able to watch it in peace.

A big thanks to NOW TV for our personalised suitcase, NOW TV Smart Stick and goodies. The kids can’t wait to take everything away on holiday with us this month and the NOW TV Smart Stick is so small there’s no chance it will be left behind!

I’ve looked into these before, are they a reasonable replacement for virgin / sky service or more like an extra?
