Sylvanian Families Town Ride Along Tram

Sylvanian Families Town Ride Along Tram

Posted on June 22, 2018March 20, 2019 by jenny

Last month we were lucky to review the new Maple Cat Family, a new family who have come to live in the new Sylvanian Families Town range. Do you remember we said that Father Theodore Maple drove the tram? Well today we are excited to tell you about the new Ride Along Tram from the Sylvanian Families Town.

Ride Along Tram box

This year a Town setting was introduced to the range. This exciting urban destination lets the characters visit on a special ā€˜day out’. It’s also where the ā€˜older sister’ characters work – doing their dream jobs. Little Sis is lucky to have a few of the new Town items including the Delicious RestaurantĀ so we were really excited to find out more about the Ride Along Tram.

So what’s inside the box? As well as the red and gold tram you will get two benches, control/desk, ticket machine, tram stop, drivers hat as well as a bunch of tickets and guides.

First of all we applied the stickers (there were many!) and then were able to play. This is such a sweet set with great attention to detail.

The two doors can be opened and shut, just like a real tram. You can push the tram along and it slides along the floor. You can move the two benches around the inside, and also place them on top. The drivers cab can be placed at either end of the tram, or take it out and turn it around to make a desk. You can even take accessories from other sets, such as the Creamy Gelato Shop or Delicious Restaurant, and swap them all around!

We thought this was a lovely addition to the Sylvanian Town range. We have a few cars and buses but this seemed like a great ‘town’ vehicle. Luckily we hadĀ Father Theodore Maple so were able to put the cap on him and start playing straight away. We also have Stella, the Chocolate Rabbit older sister, so the tram fits in really well with my daughters collection.

As well as the tram and furniture there are tickets and maps which I thought was a fun addition and great for role playing. The weather has been perfect recently which means my daughter has been playing with her Sylvanian Families outside but I know this will get played with indoors too.

Sylvanian Families Tram

The Sylvanian Families Town Ride Along Tram costs around £29.99 and is available from Amazon, Smyths and all good toy shops.

The ride along tram reminds me of the trams that you seen in San fransicso. I love the gold detailing. I never had any of the svlvanian sets as a kid but I can imagine how fun they would be to play with.
