Am I allowed to admit we’re getting excited for Halloween in our house? Yesterday I couldn’t resist buying the kids new Halloween t-shirts and picking up some fun craft supplies. We’ve made a start on our homemade Halloween decorations too to supplement the stash we’ve made in previous years.
Today I wanted to share the tealight Halloween decorations we’ve been making. They are so simple to make and use everyday objects you should already have around the home.
How to make tealight Halloween decorations
You will need:
LED tealights
Black permanent pen
Plastic disposable cups or yoghurt pots
We raided our recycling bins to make these fun little tealight Halloween decorations. We found yoghurt and pudding pots which were slightly transparent, perfect for turning into ghosts and skeletons.
They were already clean with their labels removed so we added eyes and features with a permanent marker pen.
Then we placed an LED tealight inside to turn them into tealight Halloween decorations. These are perfectly safe for children to use and make and are a great start for our homemade Halloween decorations.
