Real Construction from Jakks Pacific review

My son loves to make things and be creative so was pretty excited to see these toys.

Real Construction Starter Set (RRP £9.99)

The perfect set for the beginner craftsman! The Real Construction Starter set has everything you need to get started including a small hammer, saw, nails and wood-like material which cuts just like real wood! The set comes complete with instructions for six projects, with enough materials to build three complete projects – you’ll be able to build anything you can imagine!

Real Construction Starter Set

My son and husband worked their way through this set, following the instructions to make a car and speedboat using the kid-wood. They found these models easy to make as they only had a few steps but would have liked paper templates to cut around. They are building up to trying some of the trickier makes in this set!

Real Construction Deluxe Workshop Set (RRP £24.99)

Enjoy hours of building and construction fun with the Real Construction Deluxe Workshop Set. With over 125 pieces, this extensive set comes with everything budding craftsmen need to complete their own projects. Check your angles with the set square, cut the wood-like material with the child-friendly plastic saw, then use the hammer and nails to build your design. The set comes complete with instructions for eight project ideas and enough material to complete four designs.

We also received a copy of the Beano magazine which featured a step-by-step guide on building a speedboat using the Real Construction sets. You will see we’ve shared our speedboat on Twitter, look out for other makes by searching for the #realconstruction.
