Creating adult space outdoors

Creating adult space in the garden

One of the hardest things about this time of year is that our garden is so sadly neglected. Our beautiful French doors are closed and the shutters are kept closed. We did venture out today to plant some of the new Miffy tulip bulbs and it was lovely to have a little tidy up. The recent stormy weather has blown leaves everywhere and it’s all looking a little bare and sad.

When we bought this house a garden was top of our list. We had a gorgeous garden with our last house and our current one is a little small but perfect for our family. The children love to be outside as much as I do and the garden is really geared up to them. They have a playhouse, trampoline, water table and of course our lovely homemade mud kitchen.

The kids have plenty of play opportunities but we also wanted some for grown up space for us. So last year we invested in an outdoors table which was big enough for us all to sit around. We bought a a rattan garden cube which came with 4 chairs. It cleverly also contains 4 stools which can be used as extra seats when we have friends round.

We’ve used this lots of time as my husband is a BBQ freak (in a good way!). The children also enjoy eating outside so we find this time of year hard as we are so used to being outside. We bought this piece of furniture from Rattan Furniture Supplies so I was pretty pleased when they got in touch and offered us a product to review. I chose the Rotating Cantilever Parasol in Chocolate and Cream as I knew this would go perfectly with our table.

The cantilever parasol boasts a slick, unique design that allows the parasol to rotate 360 degrees. It can be moved to different positions and has an adjustable locking system so will be perfect for keeping us cool next summer.

Disclosure – we were gifted this item in exchange for a review.

I would need one of those tables for our garden. I have been in search of one for ages now.

We did exactly the same, we have one area of our patio for eating and entertaining.

Our garden is tiny and covered with toys, I think we’ll have to have a sort out in the summer and make some space for a table. Your table is gorgeous!
