Cooking with the Gruffalo {Gruffalo Crumble and Other Recipes}

Gruffalo Crumble and Other Recipes

With the Bake Off recently starting again and a sniff of Autumn in the air we have been looking for baking inspiration. Gruffalo Crumble and Other Recipes is packed full of sweet treats, healthy snacks and simple meals – all based on the best-selling picture book The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.

The book contains twenty-four recipes specially designed for adults to use with children, easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions and lots of hints and tips on what to do next The book is spiral bound with wipe clean pages in case of any spills! As well as the expected recipes for Owl Ice Cream, Scrambled Snake and Roasted Fox and Gruffalo Crumble there are recipes for Toadstool Pizzas, Gingerbread Mice and Snake’s Logpile House.

Purple Prickle Pancakes

We’ve already enjoyed the Purple Prickle Pancakes for breakfast and the Terrible Tusks fruit skewers.The children always love helping in the kitchen and this is a lovely themed book for them to look through and pick recipes to make.

Terrible Tusks fruit skewers

We love The Gruffalo (see below for a list of Gruffalo posts we’ve previously published) so were excited to see a copy of Gruffalo Crumble and Other Recipes before it hits the shops next week.

Gruffalo Crumble

Gruffalo Crumble is based on the picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. It is published by Macmillan Children’s Books on the 8th September priced £9.99.
