20 Disney Planes activities

Posted on July 20, 2014July 23, 2025 by jenny

Sometimes blogging has some major perks. Today was one of those days as we were invited to a gala screening of  Planes 2: Fire and Rescue. As the mother of two pre-schoolers who love Disney I knew this was an offer we couldn’t turn down.

So we were all pretty excited when we got to The Odeon in Leicester Square for the gala screening of Planes 2: Fire and Rescue. There was a special fire engine outside along with some firemen, we had our photograph taken with Dusty Crophopper, and enjoyed some colouring and games before the film started.

planes-2-poster

Planes: Fire & Rescue features a quirky crew of elite firefighting aircraft devoted to protecting historic Piston Peak National Park from a raging wildfire. When world famous air racer Dusty learns that his engine is damaged and he may never race again, he must shift gears and is launched into the world of wildfire air attack. Dusty joins forces with veteran fire and rescue helicopter Blade Ranger and his courageous air attack team, including spirited super scooper Lil’ Dipper, heavy-lift helicopter Windlifter, ex-military transport Cabbie and a lively bunch of brave all-terrain vehicles known as The Smokejumpers. Together, the fearless team battles a massive wildfire, and Dusty learns what it takes to become a true hero.

My children loved the film and I know we will be going to see it again over the summer holidays. The theme of being brave and courageous is perfect for children and the film was just as wonderful as the first Planes film.

They love Dusty and all things plane-ified so I thought I would have a look for some fun Disney Planes activities we can do at home. Hopefully this list will keep us busy over the summer holidays!
