10 star crafts for kids

Posted on August 5, 2014September 11, 2024 by jenny

My children absolutely adore stars. Little Sis loves to sing and can often be heard singing Twinkle Twinkle, or her version of it anyway. Her latest favourite book is Serafina Starfish, a touch and feel book, which is perfect for babies and toddlers, which she was sent from Meadow Kids.

It’s a fun story about Serafina Starfish who doesn’t like living in the sea. She wanted to live in the sky like a real star, but when she gets there she realises she misses her friends and quickly returns home. Touch and feel books are great for little hands and there is something to touch on every page. We loved the illustrations and found this was a great story with lots for us to talk about.

I thought it would be fun to find 10 star crafts for kids that we could do together, anything to extend the learning opportunity! Here are our favourites:

Salt dough stars

Patriotic suncatcher

Simple star garland

Star spangled slime

Glue star suncatcher

How to make a fairy star wand

Santa Star Christmas ornament

Star Cookie Cutter printing

Wool star ornaments

Star shaped biscuits

We love stars in our house for obvious reasons, so will definitely be checking these out. Thanks for putting this together and also for joining in with the Parenting Pin it Party again this week. xx
