Last week we had an amazing day at Legoland. We try and go every year and we’ve always been blessed with amazing weather. I love experimenting with bento lunches but I only realised after we had got home that a Lego bento picnic would have been fun!
Today I finally got round to it and the children loved it so I thought I would share my easy Lego bento with you.
I already had everything I needed which included a Lego lunch box and small Lego box, egg mould and made picks from plastic toothpicks and small Lego bricks.
First I made a molded Lego brick egg using my own tutorial (my how to make molded eggs tutorial can be found here). The small Lego box I used molded it perfectly, although I had to use a hair elastic to keep the box closed whilst it cooled.
I also made a Lego brick sandwich which I cut into a square and added round bread circles to the top.
Also squeezed into the lunch box was the small Lego box filled with cheese biscuits, a couple of sausage rolls with a Lego pick holding them together and a Babybel. I added a couple of white chocolate Lego Minifigs as a treat.
I had made some jelly Lego bricks but unfortunately they broke as they came out of the mould. I need to see if there’s an easy way of getting them out as they looked really good!
To finish off our Lego bento lunch the children enjoyed some Lego ice lollies, I picked up the Minifig mould at Legoland and I know we’ll be using it all summer!
This isn’t the first time we’ve had fun with Lego themed food. We’ve also made Lego cupcakes and Lego biscuits which are both really fun to make and popular with my children too!

Wow this is amazing! Not sure I would have the patience but it does look great x
I don’t have children BUT I love bento posts! They are so clever and so much fun! You are very creative! xx
I need those ice lolly moulds. We love lego here
I love these lunches like this just brilliant .x
How cute is that packed lunch. I love it
My son says: ‘Can we buy that?’
He’s very jealous and you’ve set me quite a task now!
This lunch is the coolest! I think you’d have lots of very jealous classmates if your little one took this into school.
Wow you’ve really outdone yourself. How did u do the white chocolate or they were bought? Fab post. We’ve been Thomas Land three times but never Legoland xx
this is awesome! i may be 27 but i would have no shame in doing this.
Isaac would love this!!
I bought that exact ice lolly mould yesterday and put up my photo to instagram today of our lego ice lollies!! It’s great isn’t it? Love the bento box too…
This look awesome.
I bet the head is the first to get eaten 🙂
I keep wanting to try Bento, but have never got round to it – this looks great! Thanks for linking up to the parenting pin it party!
