Win tickets to South Ken Kids Festival

Posted on November 12, 2012June 18, 2014 by jenny

Drawing_Jam at South ken kids Festival posterThe South Ken Kids Festival brings you a marvellous mash-up of music, live drawing, and fun for the whole family! This children’s book festival features dozens of literary events, workshops and talks for kids of all ages. Quentin Blake, Emile Bravo and Tony Ross are all on the bill. This year we have Franco-British drawing duos, a preview screening of “Ernest and Célestine”, and many many workshops….see their website for full details.

I have a great give away for 2 pairs of tickets to the Drawing Jam with David Coulter as part of the South Ken Kids Festival on Saturday 24 November at 5pm. The event is designed for ages 5 and over and will be held at the Institut français du Royaume-Uni Ciné lumière, Ciné lumière, London.

A panel of the Festival’s guest illustrators are invited to share the stage with David Coulter – the multi-instrumentalist artist who has played with The Pogues and Marianne Faithfull, among others – and draw along to his music.

You’re in for a treat as David Coulter whips out various instruments – including musical saw, Jew’s harp, ukulele and more – while you watch the improvisations of renowned illustrators projected live on the big screen.

It would have to be ‘Tom’s Midnight Garden’ by Phillipa Pearce.
