Yummy Plum products for babies and toddlers

Posted on February 3, 2012March 29, 2015 by jenny

We’re big fans of Plum and I relied on ready made food a lot when I started weaning Big Brother as I wasn’t confident at all! Plum have recently introduced some new products which we were happy to try.

StrawberryCheesePumpkin Pie and Strawberry Cheesecake Oaty Chomps bars (RRP £1.99 for five 20g bars) combine fruit or vegetables with oats and quinoa, great for a mid-morning toddler snack. The small, individually wrapped bars are convenient for on the go feeding and provide the complex carbohydrates that are crucial for babies development.  The moist textured, handy size bars have been created to be the perfect size for little hands and help to encourage self-feeding. These are great for popping in my handbag as a snack and they are very tasty – BB told me so!

Mango&BananaI’m beginning to think about weaning Little Sis in a couple of weeks so we were also sent some of the new resealable pouches for babies to try. Served cold or warm, the resealable pouches are ideal for on-the-go feeding and suitable for babies and young children who don’t always eat a full portion in one go.  Each pouch (RRP 99p per pouch) contains 100g of nutritionally balanced, smooth puree that is delicious at any age. The new flavours are Mango & banana, Spinach, sweet potato & apple and Parsnip, pea & pear. These have been hidden at the back of the cupboard as I know a toddler who will take them if he sees them!

I hope they change the lids on their pouches though – I tweeted them a while back to say that they are far too small and represent a choking hazard. The competitor has a much bigger lid xxx

      Hi Liska
You’ll be pleased to know that Plum are in process of changing the lids on all our pouches to the larger fat caps. From March onwards you’ll start to see them appearing in store!
      Thanks
