Gingerbread house finds

It’s been a while since I wrote about my thrifted finds but the arrival of Little Sis gave me a great reason to start looking for bargains. There were a few things I knew I wanted to buy but knew we couldn’t afford to buy brand new so I began trying to find them second hand.

My best bargain is definitely the Stokke Newborn seat as Little Sis loves snoozing in it. It also fits onto the Tripp Trapp so she can sit at the table with us at mealtimes. I got a great deal on ebay and it was in perfect condition. I do love our Stokke products and I’m trying to persuade hubby to get a Stokke Sleepi cot for when she grows out of her bednest.

She is using her brothers’ old Maxi Cosi but it was in need of a facelift. I’d heard of a Minnie Moo car seat cover which just sits over the top of the original car seat and has been designed to help stop your baby overheating. I managed to get my hands on the funky cow print design which helps her stand out from the crowd!

I couldn’t resist the Bee car seat cosy wrap which I saw in Babies R Us but it was always out of stock. Again, I found one for half the price on ebay which was in perfect condition. I love wrapping Little Sis up in it, especially in this cold weather. She looks gorgeous too, although some strange people think she is a wasp rather than a bee! I’ve been using it all the time to keep her warm and even though she wriggles her arms out occasionally I think it helps with her colic. It’s for use with a car seat but I’ve also been using it when she’s lying down in the Phil & Ted’s.

I do love a bargain especially when it’s a product I know I’ll only be using for 6 months!

Such lovely finds. And as you say, you’ll only be using them for a few months so why buy new when you can get nice ones second hand.

She looks so happy with your purchases – she’s adorable.

Great bargain hunting. Personally, I’d totally recommend the Stokke Sleepi. We had it and it just grows and grows. You can get them on ebay too! x
