Two days left of my old life before my new life begins. I think it’s finally sinking in and I’m glad I’ve had some time to prepare myself for the procedure and get excited about finally meeting my new baby. It takes me ages to adjust to change, I’m terrible at doing new things and would much rather pull a blanket over my head than confront my fears and challenge myself! I spent yesterday ordering books about post-caesarean recovery as well as some hideously large pants, a hypnotherapy CD and a caesarean belt – anything which may help my recovery and let me concentrate on bonding with my baby. Of course we still haven’t discussed names but I’m happy to see what the baby looks like before we try and name him/her.
