My 3 year old loves to make sun catchers as much as I do. This afternoon she said she wanted to make another sun catcher so I whipped out a ready make kit I had bought from Yellow Moon (my sons’ school receives a small amount of money on any purchases I make). I love ready make craft kits and I adapted this one slightly to make it easier for her.
Materials for a Year of the Sheep sun catcher decoration:
Year of the Sheep stained glass kit
Scissors
Contact paper
How to make a Year of the Sheep sun catcher decoration:
We placed the cut out sheep on a piece of contact paper and I snipped the cellophane sheets into small pieces.
My daughter played around with the coloured pieces, scrunching them up and placing them over the gaps until there were no spaces left. She did this with the two different cut outs.
Then I sealed the other side of the sheep with more contact paper and trimmed around the edges.
This was a cute craft pack which contained two different designs. There are plenty left for my 4 year to make too!
