If you’re looking for something to do with the kids in London during half term then I might have the perfect day out. Have you heard of KidZania London? Based in Westfield London it features more than 60 real-life role play adventures where kids can earn and spend KidZo’s (the Kidzania currency). It’s the perfect treat for your kids during the October half term, especially as it has been transformed for Halloween!
Scary Fun week runs from 15th-30th October and there are several special scary but fun features added in for Halloween. Not only has the city been decorated, but in partnership with Cadbury, your children will be able to take part in an incredible Tricky Treasure Trail throughout the City.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy a variety of fun-filled activities, such as a ghost tour, transforming into a creepy character by getting their faces painted with Snazaroo, making Spooky Jewellery, taking part in the TV Studio Live Spooky Broadcast or making Green Milkshakes at the Gourmet Burger Kitchen. But beware! Several of the hosts have been transformed into werewolves, witches, ghosts and zombies!
This was our second visit to KidZania (you can read about our first visit here) so I tried to encourage the children to try new things during their 4 hour session. They revisited some of their favourite activities such as making a chocolate bar, painting a picture, going on a bus tour around the City and trying their hands at the Fire Service. They tried lots of new things too, from leaning what went into a healthy snack bar at Eat Natural, becoming a City Engineer and crawling around the air vents, getting their faces painted, making their own jewellery, working as couriers and changing tyres at the Pit Lane experience. Somehow my 6 year old also managed to try some wall climbing. It was a brilliant and exhausting experience for them.

They might not have realised it but KidZania is a brilliant experience for children as it teaches them so much. Like getting stuck in and getting their hands dirty; working together in teams and independently; the value of money, as well as the value of working and having fun. My 4 year old still wants to be a Fire fighter when she grows up, thanks to her experience at KidZania!
