Win a copy of the new picture book from Sophy Henn

Posted on February 22, 2017 by jenny

It’s been a while since I featured any children’s picture books on my blog. With World Book Day coming up we have been thinking about our favourite books and characters. So it seemed like the perfect time to share a lovely new picture book with you. Read on for your chance to win a copy.

Edie by Sophy Henn

Hello! My name is Edie. I am EVER so helpful. In fact, I think helping is one of the things I am best at…

Win a copy of the new picture book from Sophy Henn

Edie is certainly a very good helper, whether it’s helping mummy wake bright and early, helping Daddy to do the shopping or helping her little brother learn how to share and knowing what’s what.

Edie is a stunning, stylish picture book with retro colours and a character who will appeal to generations of children. It’s a joy to read aloud and will help children learn some valuable life lessons along the way, with plenty of scope for chats about helping, being kind, sharing, and what to do when things don’t go as planned!

Edie by Sophy Henn (the author of the wonderful Pom Pom books) was published by Puffin on 2nd February, in paperback and hardback. I have one paperback copy to giveaway.

I think my favourite character from a children’s book is by far Mary Maddocks from a Secret Garden. I love the stubborness and seriousness of a little girl who has grown up without the love of her parents, being melted away by something so simple as a cheeky little black bird and a garden. The most beautiful book for sure!
