Valentine heart stone craft for kids

Valentine heart stone craft for kids

Posted on February 3, 2017April 15, 2018 by jenny

We are excited to work with Bostik again this year to produce some family friendly crafts. We are huge fans of Bostik products and today we’re sharing a really fun Valentine craft.

We were sent a wonderful box of craft products including Bostik White Glu and Glu Dots. These products are staple for our craft cupboard and are so useful.

Recently I’ve been experimenting with some heart-shaped dies and the children were keep to use the cut outs. We combined them with some beautiful smooth pebbles to make a fun Valentine heart stone craft for kids which also doubles as our very first Kindness Rocks.

We used:
smooth pebbles
pink card
heart shaped die and die cutting machine
Bostik White glu
paintbrush

I used my Sizzix machine to cut some pretty heart shapes using a sweet little die from Hobbycraft. The children chose suitably large pebbles, big enough to fit the heart.

They squeezed some of the White Glu on to each pebble, smoothing it over the pebble with a brush or their fingers. Then they applied the paper heart onto each pebble.

We left the pebbles to dry for about an hour.

The White Glu dries clear so you are left with a really pretty Valentine heart stone. They make sweet little handmade gifts or paperweights and are perfect for giving to your Valentine. We also think this would make a great Kindness Rock. Have you heard of this? People have been decorating stones with words and pictures for others to find – I think this would be so much fun to take part in.

This is a nice idea: simple, but pretty too. You could easily write out a message on stones or something.

This is such a cute idea. I saw the pictures on your IG and wondered how it was done x
