Much as I’m enjoying being a full-time mum with it comes the realisation that there’s little opportunity to take sick leave or annual leave. This is a shame as I feel the need to take myself away somewhere and pamper myself!
My best friend has just started an exciting new job after months of unemployment and we could both do with one of those pamper weekends. I’ve been doing some research and found some good deals for weekend spa breaks.
Much as I love my little one I could do with a couple of days off. I’d love to go to bed without the baby monitor, a lie in, a couple of days without changing a nappy, stress-free meal times and not having to constantly pick up a growing toddler. Bliss. It would also be lovely to indulge in some adult conversation, rather than the stilted conversations I have these days as I’m always looking to see what mischief Edward is up to.
Oh well. I’d better start buying a lottery ticket!
Oh I totally agree with you. I adore my daughter but I am a really girly girl and would love to go on a spa weekend. They are so expensive though when you are on maternity leave. But oooh I would love to be pampered and preened. Hope you manage to book one! x
