Starting my week with The Weekly Edit is a ritual I’ve kept for years. It’s my favourite Monday morning anchor—a chance to slow down, celebrate the ‘small wins,’ and gather the smiles from the week behind us. Part reflection and part record-keeping, it’s my way of documenting our family’s adventures before the next chapter begins.

The Weekly Edit {Week 39/2026}

Last week we celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary. Time really flies when you have a family and we ended up celebrating the day before our anniversary as the teens wanted to go to Brands Hatch to watch the British GT. We bought ourselves some delicious Lucky Charms Biscuiteers biscuits to share.

We love a trip to the theatre so decided to book tickets for Oh, Mary! at the Trafalgar Theatre in central London. I watch a lot of musicals but this was a play, and a very fun one.

I’m currently reading The Silent Appeal by Janice Hallett. This follows on from The Appeal and The Christmas Appeal. When I saw she was speaking at the local library I booked tickets. I’ve read all of her adult books (she writes for children too). She’s such an interesting person and told us about what inspires her and the books she writes.

The weather has been warm recently but I’ve been doing some Halloween crafting. I bought a lovely felt kit to make witch from Pretty Fabric and Trims. The evenings are getting shorter so I’m enjoying having something to work on.
