Starting my week with the Weekly Edit is a ritual I’ve kept for years. It’s my favourite Monday morning anchor—a chance to slow down, celebrate the ‘small wins,’ and gather the smiles from the week behind us. Part reflection and part record-keeping, it’s my way of documenting our family’s adventures before the next chapter begins.
The Weekly Edit {Week 3/2026}
I love seeing the first daffodils of the year. We were lucky to see really early daffodils when we visited Hughenden a few weeks ago. I saw bunches of cut daffodils in the supermarket and couldn’t resist buying some to cheer the living room up.
Last week we used up two of the gingerbread house kits we had bought for Christmas. We made mini gingerbread house kits from a Sainsbury’s kit, and then turned the Ikea gingerbread house kit into a delicious gingerbread cheesecake.
I finished reading The Other Bennet Sister by Janice Hadlow. I loved this book so much and really wanted to read it before the tv adaptation comes out later this year. The book tells the story of Mary Bennet, the middle sister of the Bennet girls from Pride and Prejudice. I loved Mary so much, perfect for anyone who feels a little bookish and overlooked in favour of their siblings.
My winter Craftpod sub box arrived before Christmas and I finally got round to starting it this week. The box features a fun robin collage style project which I’ve been enjoying stitching whilst watching Red Eye.
What would make it onto your ‘Weekly Edit’ today? I’d love to hear your highlights!

The book seems awesome. I haven’t read anything by Janice Hadlow. I will check it out, super excited about it. Thanks a lot for the recommendation.
I love the idea of starting your week with these posts! I saw daffodils at the weekend in full bloom and was so surprised! I really thought we were a good month or so away from seeing them. It definitely brightened my day. Have a lovely week!

It always makes me smile when I see the daffodils come to life. I have not seen any yet but also not really been looking for them. I have seen them in the shops but got some white roses last week for my husbands birthday
I just won $100 in the lottery. That definitely makes it into my highlight for sure!
I love the idea of a weekly edit. It’s a great way to stay grateful for the little things in your life. I’ve been having migraines a lot lately, and this week has been much better than previous ones. That’s going in the list!
Such a cozy reflection; flowers, baking, books, and crafting beautifully capture life’s gentle, joyful moments.
I do think having a little weekly reflection is a fantastic way to organise your brain! It sounds like you finished off quite a bit this week.
