The Weekly Edit {Week 11/2026}

Starting my week with the Weekly Edit is a ritual I’ve kept for years. It’s my favourite Monday morning anchor—a chance to slow down, celebrate the ‘small wins,’ and gather the smiles from the week behind us. Part reflection and part record-keeping, it’s my way of documenting our family’s adventures before the next chapter begins.

The Weekly Edit {Week 11/2026}

Last week marked a significant milestone for my daughter as she officially selected her GCSE options, carefully deciding which subjects she wants to specialise in throughout Year 10 and 11. This feels like a huge step as she starts to make decisions about her future.

I do love a jigsaw and came across a 1980s themed jigsaw from Happily. I started and finished my 1980s jigsaw over the weekend as the kids both went camping with Scouts for the weekend on a narrowboat. The jigsaw featured roller skates, a Care Bear, cassette, Rubik’s cube and all my favourite sweets from that time.

We took my mum out for afternoon tea for Mothers Day. Unfortunately both the teens were away but we enjoyed the sandwiches and cake. My kids gave me some new Jelly Cats for my collection as well as some delicious iced biscuits from Biscuiteers.

Brompton Cemetery

A few years age we decided to visit all of London’s Magnificent Seven Victorian Cemeteries. We managed five of them (Highgate Cemetery, Abney Park Cemetery, Tower Hamlets Cemetery, Kensal Green Cemetery, West Norwood Cemetery). We decided to visit Brompton Cemetery as the teens were away. It was dog friendly so we had a lovely walk through the graveyard and a bit of a history lesson too. Just Nunhead Cemetery to visit now!
