The theme for The Gallery this week is a celebration. I see a few people have chosen a photo of their wedding day but I’m not ashamed to admit that my wedding day wasn’t the best day of my life! We both dislike being the centre of attention and found the planning stressful and the day itself a bit overwhelming.
Our honeymoon was a different matter. The picture I’ve chosen sums up our 2 week jaunt around Scandinavia. No, it didn’t rain all the time (!) but we had a laugh exploring new places, travelling by plane, boat, train through Denmark, Sweden and Norway and eating some amazing food. The photograph was taken in Bergen which is famous for its’ climate. One winter it rained for 85 consecutive days!
Our honeymoon was our own celebration, just the two of us doing something we wanted to do. Not your typical honeymoon perhaps but a celebration of ourselves nonetheless!
