The Big Comic Relief Crafternoon bookazine

Posted on February 6, 2015February 25, 2025 by jenny

I’m so happy The Great British Sewing Bee is back on. I really enjoyed the first episode last night and I’m awe of the contestants sewing skills. Some dress making skills are definitely on my wish list this year!

I love to sew so was really excited to hear about the new Mollie Makes bookazine – The Big Comic Relief Crafternoon. This is a collaboration with Comic Relief (obvs!) and the bookazine features over 50 marvellous makes for Red Nose Day  (13th March 2015).

I rushed out to buy a copy last week (Sainsbury’s Pinner if anyone is local to me!) and it’s worth every penny. The patterns are from well known bloggers and crafters including Attic 24, dottie angel, Flossie Teacakes, Jodie Carleton and Gretel Parker. You can make a crocheted red nose, Liberty floral moutache, felt guinea pigs, crochet frames, needlefelt doglets, a cloud mobile and so much more. I made a sweet felt chicken which my 4 year old immediately claimed for himself.

As well as making these items in the comfort of your own home there are some suggestions for holding a crafternoon with your friends and family. Why not get together, have fun crafting and then sell your makes to raise money for Red Nose Day?

The Big Comic Relief Crafternoon bookazine, sponsored by Create & Craft TV, is priced at £7.99. £5 from each sale is donated to Comic Relief. Get your copy from Sainsbury’s only or download from the Apple Newsstand or Google Play.

Follow #rednoseday #crafternoon on Twitter @CRCrafts and find them on Facebook, too (search for The Big Comic Relief Crafternoon).

Me too, I love that show. I am starting to sew but I still haven’t managed to get to grips with my machine yet 🙁

I love this! I’d love to be able to sew! I have a guineapig and he looks like that! Haha! Great post 🙂
